The history of the vintage

It all started several decades ago, when the Alziari family set out to create an exceptional olive oil. From this passion was born a precious nectar: the Cuvée Prestige. Fruity, delicate and balanced, he seduced the most refined palaces... but his destiny was going to be linked to an emblematic figure in the History of France.

Every summer, in the heart of the post-war years, Mrs. Yvonne De Gaulle, wife of the General, chose the South of France to recharge her batteries. In the alleys of Old Nice, she discreetly went to the Nicolas Alziari shop. There, among the Mediterranean scents, she found the Cuvée Prestige that she particularly liked.

For her, this oil was not just a simple condiment: it was a promise of finesse and excellence that she brought to the table, to sublimate family meals under the summer sun. It is said that she spoke of it as a treasure of French gastronomy, a find that she never failed to bring back from her stays in Nice.

Thus, the history of the Cuvée Prestige has been enriched with a singular prestige: that of having seduced the demanding taste of Madame De Gaulle, and with her, to forever inscribe her name in the French culinary heritage.
